POWER TO THE PEOPLE exhibition, today as well the doors were closed to public, however, after tireless negotiations between the venue and us organizer we reached an agreement to open its door tomorrow at 10am!!

We apologize for the last three days of closing the show to public. The artist talk on 12 will be on schedule as planned. Please come see the exhibition and also to the talk. Thank you!!

The day two of the POWER TO THE PEOPLE exhibition, still the doors are closed from the public even though the exhibition inside is beautifully installed. The director of Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc’s Green Plaza thinks that one of the exhibited works might have a chance to make the audience uncomfortable especially at a community space… in relation to the accident and aftermath cleaning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear plant.

Art can be sometimes hard to understand and provocative. It can take sometime for people to understand and accept. However “artists” have right to freely create “art” and it has be be protected otherwise no critical art can be possible.

Having said that the current situation of the exhibition being literally shattered from the public must not last too long. We had a meeting today to discuss what can be possible to open the show to the public… still no solution. Hope Day three will be different and we can move forward!!
